But you know how much this means to me

I’m not saying I’m right, I’m not saying I’m wrong, I’m not saying that Garrett’s party is more important, I’m not saying that Bec is more important, but I am saying that I’m not ditching Bec for Garrett, or Garrett for Bec. But I do want people to realise that there is more to life, oh fuck it.

Lifestyles of the rich and the famous

Filed under: General - Mark @ 7:26 am

I went to Burwood today. That’s different to the Melbourne burwood, by the way. It’s the closest ‘big’ shopping center to me. I went into K-Mart looking for Optus Pre-Paid starter kits and came out with 5 GateCrasher albums. That’s impulse buying for ya!

I searched and searched for a store that does Optus Pre-Paid Starter Kits, so that I could take advantage of Optus freetime, not just Telstra ones, cos I’m a stingy prick and won’t pay for anything if I don’t have to. Anyhow, I went to virtually every store, except the OptusWorld store, cos I’m still waiting for them to call me back, and seeing as they havn’t called yet I don’t think that’s a very good sign. I was on my way out, given up when I saw a Tandy store and decided to ask there. They had ONE left, and the number is virtually the same as my Telstra number, so that’s all good 😀 If you want the number, mail me.

Bec and I hit one month on Sunday. It seems like soo much longer, and it’s been probably the happiest month of my life. Beleive it or not, I really am much happier because of her. I’m also very content and happy with being in Sydney. If it wern’t for Bec, I would have been longing for Melbourne very muchly, but because of her, I’m perfectly happy in Sydney. I don’t really want to go back to Melbourne to live. Maybe a weekend here or there, but that’s it.

I’m not going to be able to make it to Bec’s place for our 1 month anniversary, but SHH I might have a little something special planned for the day after, but it’s just our little secret, OK?

“Two things you’d rather not hear – ‘Are you awake’ and a load of radio ads. Nova 969. Sounds different.”

Hmmz what to say what to say except BUGGER. I burnt my hand on the oven whilst cooking gourmet toasted sandwiches (that consisted of sauce, ham and cheese YUM), and it’s blistering something shocking and it stings.

Called Bec at Lunchtime, she didn’t seem to be all that happy about being back at school, which is understandable I suppose. We were on the phone for about an hour last night writing a letter to this dude. It sounded very professional – one of my best works of art to date 😉 Nah kidding, I know, Im up myself, but you get that.

I got a call from one of the places I applied for a job yesterday. He basically said I’ve got the job if I want it, without an interview or anything, but it’s not really a very good job… it’s selling stuff at one of those booths in shopping centers. Kinda like one of those permanant temporary setups in the middle of the corridor, so yeah… I’ll wait till the dudes from Optus ring me back to tell if if I’ve got the job or not, and if not then I’ll go check it out, so yeah we’ll see.

Early 90’s dance (i.e. Salt’N’Pepper, Tone Loc, etc) kicks some arse. Serious arse. Kazaa however does not. Im sharing 3700 files and my usage DROPPED to 41 (newbie) and I was on 54 (More lite that Kazaa). Bah.

It’s early….

I swear, school must start today or something, cos it was hell in our house this morning. I dont think I’ve been woken up this early in like, forever. Well, mby not forever, but a very long time. And I’m not impressed.

If school goes back today, that means that Bec goes back too… *cries*

I got totally caned at Red Alert this morning as well, 3 AI all on “Hard”…. bastards…

I can’t help myself….

Filed under: General - Mark @ 7:25 am

I know Bec told me not to write about her in here, but face it, everyone loves to hear themselves talked about 🙂 Especially when it’s ego-stroking, which reminds me of a joke…

“A man was walking down the street wearing a trenchcoat when he passed three old ladies. He opened his trenchcoat and flashed them – like, full on wasn’t wearing anything underneath; and let’s just say that the man was well equipped! Well, needless to say two of the old ladies had a stroke! The third couldn’t reach…”

Moving along… Well back to yesterday, Bec and I saw Two Weeks Notice as I think I said before, which was an OK movie I guess, not as good as Notting Hill, but I’m hardly a chick flick expert! Good chance to have some huggles and stuff. Sandra Bullock has had her day I think, but she was the only person who could possibly act the role in that movie, oh, and Hugh Grant… *drools* it was a bit like Bridgit Jones cross Notting Hill, only, not… yeah.

Anyways from there we went and had lunch at this baked tatie place, which was pretty cool, not the best taties on earth, but there were more important things to do than pay attention to the quality of a $5.80 potato. Which is an expensive potato when you think about it.

Anyways after that we went to Grace Brothers (which is Myer, only with a crappier name) and attempted to do some shopping for Bec’s Dads birthday (which is today I might add – Happy Birthday Bec’s Dad!) and we searched in vein for a plain Navy Blue tie (I have one!), and then we went back to Myer to look for a truckies UBD and this decrepit shop assistant bitch thought we were going to shoplift and was keeping a very close eye on us. Just because we were covered in three largish bags (laptop, backpack and Bec’s handbag). Bah.

Anyways from there we went to about a bazillion jewlers, most of which were way to classy and expensive for my bank balance. Apparently I’m fussy when it comes to watches (watches are the only jewlery shop thingie that I actually LIKE shopping for), but I’m allowed to be pedantic over a few things, aren’t I?

So yeah, we didn’t really do anything that important, or exciting, but it was a good, relaxed day, where we could just be with eachother, enjoying ourselves. Bec goes back to school tomorrow (blah, I know what your all thinking: cradle snatcher. Well I have one thing to say: bugger you!) so that’s gunna kinda squash our social lives a bit, but I’ll get over it I guess!

I can’t wait to see you again babes!

Dumbah Dumbah….

Filed under: General - Mark @ 7:24 am

Hmmmz, what to say… except to say Bec, I’m sure everything will work out fine and I’m sorry to hear what’s happened, but there are ways of dealing with those kinds of problems – my uncle has been moving rocks for half his life…

But anyway, on a happier note, I have big plans for this weekend, but I’m not going to tell you what they are until they’ve happened 😉 National security as at stake, you see.

Well there’s not really much else to write here seeing as it’s only 9:46am, but yeah I just wanted to let you know Bec that it’s OK, I’m sure everything will be fine!

There’s no place I’d coud be without you… honestly…

*sigh* Today has been a good day. I had a job interview at an Optus World, which I think went OK, but the guy didn’t give much away about what he thought of me… Hmmz…

Anyways, from there I went to Chatswood to spend the day with none other than, yep, Bec, but I’m under strict instructions not to talk about her in here, so I’ll just say that we went to see “Two Weeks Notice” and that I had an absolutally wonderful day and I wish it never had to end… Awwwww 🙁

I’ll also say that I’ve sold my laptop and that I have a tan line right accross my foot from the thongs I was wearing. Oh, and that empty train carriages are perfect places to get changed! I didn’t want to wear my suit all day, so I took a change of clothes, and I was going to get changed at Chatswood, but the train was perefectly empty, so I just got changed in the carriage. Apparently that’s a pretty silly thing to do. *shrugs*.

When retail therapy goes bad…

Filed under: General - Mark @ 7:23 am

If you’re going to buy a medium-small sized car, please please do the world a favour and either a) have a towbar fitted, or b) have a larger car as well! There’s this place on Paramatta Road in Homebush which is about a 2 min drive from us where they’re flogging off all this office furniture, and no item is more than $20. Most of it is shithouse, but there are a few good items in there. Anyway, we found this almost-perfect set of steel drawers thingie that would be perfect for what we wanted, so we went and scabbed bits off other shitty ones that were the same to make it a complete unit and paid the high price of $20 for it. So far, so good.

Take it out to the car. It doesn’t fit in the car. We can’t figure out how to get it to fit in the car.

So now it looks like we’re going to have to borrow the pastor’s Nissan X-Trail to get it home. We have a Holden Vectra by the way.

This is the first time EVER that we’ve had trouble fitting shit into the car. Ever. Hell, even the Barina would have fitted the damn thing, easy, cos of the hatchback and folding seats. Verada or Falcon, no worries mate. Magna – easy as! But Vectra, uh uh. Stoopid euroupan cars… You know that coffee table (yeah the big heavy mother one) that we’ve got – we fitted that, in our BARINA! So you’d think a Vectra could fit some drawers, but the boot is about 3cm too narrow. Bah.

Life wasn’t meant to be sneazy

For Bec:
Everyone has dreams. For some people, their dreams come true. For others, not. I’m the person that fits into the latter catagory. When I was younger, I dreampt of living a normal life. No such luck yet. I dreamed for years of going to the navy. I had it planned down the finest detail, even to what I was going to do with my pay, and how I was going to have my room layed out, and which pubs I’d go to with my cousin in Canberra. When that dream was destroyed by the bastard Navy officials, I wanted to stay in Melbourne with Garrett, but to no avail there either.

So now I sit here in Sydney and there’s nowhere I’d rather be. The moral? Maybe some dreams aren’t meant to be. If I had passed my naval interview, I wouldn’t have a wonderful girlfriend. If I had led a ‘normal’ life, I wouldn’t be who I am today. If I was living with Garrett in Melbourne I’d probably be living off junk food (not a bad thing), but I wouldn’t have Bec (which is a bad thing).

So Bec, if your dream is to stay in Sydney, then so be it. I’m willing to make that sacrifice for you. Let’s have those six kids, the SS, let’s live in Terry Hills with a big back yard, run a real estate agency, and have a 4WD that never leaves the road. And there’s no sarcasam in that statement. Some plans and dreams are forgone for a larger purpose, the bigger picture, and we have to have some faith, and trust that whatever happens, happens for the best.

I know I’m glad that I failed that Navy interview. I know that I’m glad I didn’t stay in Melbourne. I know I’m glad I didn’t have a ‘normal’ upbringing. Because I like who I am, and where I’m at and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. And I know that I’ll be glad doing whatever happens (or doesn’t happen in the future).

Hmmz I think we got Melbourne’s weather from yesterday today, it’s hot, and emotions are running high. I got a call from Bec this morning when we were at the Pastor’s place for lunch, and I knew straight away that things wern’t good. I won’t go into detail, because it’s not really any of my (or your) business, but Bec, I want you to know that I’m here for you and no matter what happens, or how your life might change, I’ll be hanging around 🙂 You know my number babe 🙂

Anyways, it IS Australia day today, isn’t it? Nothing much happening today, but I will say that Australia Day is taken much more seriously in Sydney than in Melbourne. Probably because 90% of Australia’s migrants end up in Sydney. I’m still pissed off that the fireworks have been cancelled.

Air conditioning is a fantastic invention.

Ben says that I crap on a lot in this blog. Me… crap on? Yeah, whatever…. *blushes*

Tangerine Speedo, I’m a Tangerine Speedo….

Ok ladies and gents, slight change to the blog from now on! Hehe, yes, can you spot the difference? Wow, so amazing isn’t it! Heh… ok, growing up now…

If you havn’t heard, they’ve cancelled the Australia Day fireworks at the bridge. Again. They cancelled the NYE ones too, I was really looking forward to these ones. I havn’t seen fireworks in real life for about 8 years! Moomba ’94 was the last time I think. Might have been ’95 – I forget. Anyhow, it’s a long time. I was going to go in with Bec and have a good time, but yeah, damn. Bec’s not going either, so I thought I might pop around to her place tomorrow arvo, but then Dad reminds me at dinner that we’re going to the pastor’s place for lunch tomorrow after Church, and I have to be there, so that screws up that plan. Monday maybe? Who knows…

Telstra bill is due today. And it hasn’t been paid. So Mum’s going into debt with Telstra on my behalf 😉 Mwahahaha… too bad I still have to pay the bill at some stage. Grrish.

Bec says I need to make the blog more colourful… but, but, but I like it the way it is…. awww I think I’m gunna cry now.

Hmmmz….. apparently, according to Dad, I’m “Just out to enjoy myself”… WELL NO SHIT! I have just finished 12 years of school!!!! Tell me that they didn’t want to have a bit of fun straight after finishing school! It came up because Dad wants me to go looking for MORE job ads! GRR! I don’t really WANT a job, I just want enough money to get by! Shit, you’d almost thing that was evil they way they would react if I told them that!!!! Bleh!

Anyway, I DO have a job interview on Tuesday for Optus 😉 Pretty ironic, but this time it’s an OptusWorld Store, not door-to-door. And other reason I don’t want to go overly job hunting is because I don’t want to have 15 interviews lined up, and then get say a job, and then have to hassle over the rest of them, do I go to the interview, see if the job is better then quit my job after a day, if not then I have to ring them up and cancel the interview, which is rude, blah blah fucking blah. I dont care! I just want a job, that gives me enough money to pay my Telstra bills, and get me around and to spend some money on Bec! That’ll do me! I’m not out to make a gazillion dollars, neither am I out to work my arse off! Bah!

Bleh now Dad’s telling me how to burn a CD, as if I don’t know what to do…. I’ve been burning CD’s for a lot longer than you Dad… and my CD’s haven’t just been backup CD’s… mwahahaha

*sigh* *thinks of something happy* *thinks of Bec* *Cheers up*

I’d better write this down before I forget how to word it.

As you may have read in my MSN profile, with some people, you go out of your way to help someone, you stick your neck out of them and you get absolutally nothing in return. You strain yourself to make them happy, and to do what they want you to, and zilch back. You learn to deal with it.

Occasionally you get a person who says Thankyou, and you get a small present, and that feels good. It’s nice when that happens, kinda makes you feel that everytrhing in the past has been worthwhile.

And then someone like Bec comes along. Not only does she say thankyou, she does the same for in return. It’s not so much of an “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” it’s a “I love you, you love me, so I love you more and you love me more” and it keeps growing at an exponential rate. Someone like that is very rare, and I wouldn’t want to give it (or her) up for the world 🙂 Wubb you bubs!
